Willow Grove is part of the Sandy Spring Museum's main building, but has its own entrance. From the parking lot, proceed past the museum's front door down the cement walkway until you reach the red brick plaza.
Experience an evening of live music and storytelling with acclaimed singer-songwriter Zeshan B as he explores the songs that shape our memories, identities, and shared human experiences. Blending soulful performances with history, humor, and audience engagement, the program uncovers the connections between diverse musical traditions - from American soul and gospel to Urdu ghazals, Bollywood, folk music, opera, and the Great American Songbook.
Zeshan B is a Chicago-based singer, songwriter, composer, and educator whose work bridges American soul, gospel, classical music, and South Asian traditions. His music has been featured by Rolling Stone, NPR, PBS, Salon, and Democracy Now!, and he has performed everywhere from the Apollo Theater and Lincoln Center to the Kennedy Center and the White House. His debut album Vetted reached #1 on the iTunes World Music chart and #8 on Billboard's World Albums chart. Through performances and lectures alike, Zeshan explores the ways music connects people across cultures and generations.
