This event takes place at Willow Grove Cultural Commons at Sandy Spring Museum.
Willow Grove is part of the Sandy Spring Museum's main building, but has its own entrance. From the parking lot, proceed past the museum's front door down the cement walkway until you reach the red brick plaza.
Seating Notice: This performance will be presented in the traditional baithak style, creating an intimate listening experience with floor seating. A limited number of chairs will be available, with priority given to guests who are unable to sit comfortably on the floor. We kindly ask those who are able to sit on the floor to do so if chairs are needed by others. For added comfort, we encourage guests planning to sit on the floor to bring a cushion or floor pillow.

Join us for an evening of musical exploration rooted in the rich tradition of Hindustani classical music, featuring acclaimed sitarist Snehesh Nag and tabla virtuoso Anirudh Alva Changkakoti. Together, these exceptional musicians blend the depth of Indian classical tradition with contemporary influences, creating an immersive musical dialogue shaped by improvisation, intricate rhythms, soaring melodies, and unexpected sonic discoveries.

Snehesh Nag is an acclaimed sitarist, composer, and educator whose performances bridge centuries-old Hindustani traditions with contemporary musical expression. Trained under Pandit Sugato Nag and the legendary Pandit Buddhadev Dasgupta, he has performed across India, the United States, and Canada, collaborated with artists ranging from Pandit Anindo Chatterjee to the Princeton Symphony, and is a 2024 Strathmore Artist in Residence.

Anirudh Alva Changkakoti is an acclaimed tabla artist whose artistry reflects decades of rigorous training in the Hindustani classical tradition. A disciple of Dr. Narendra Verma and the legendary Ustad Zakir Hussain, he has performed at renowned venues including the Kennedy Center and throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and India. He has collaborated with a wide range of artists across genres, earning recognition for his expressive accompaniment and rhythmic command.
